EVER FORWARD
Small business owners should always be moving forward. If you become stale so will your business. You can’t ever stop being excited and energetic about your business.
One of the very best ways to maintain that excitement and high energy that your business requires is to be in a constant state of change. That means trying new things, getting involved with new people, changing the way things are done and doing whatever else is needed to keep things fresh.
I see excitement in my friends when they invite me over to see their new home. Equally, an invitation to a client’s new office is usually filled with pride and excitement. The same type of feeling has to exist every day in your work.
Three things will help you gain this momentum:
- Belief in your ability to make your future better than it is today.
- To hold fast to those beliefs
- To always be persistent in your effort to improve.
The distinguishing characteristic of a great small business is that it doesn’t stop trying to change, to improve, and do new things. A great company never arrives, never believes that it is good enough.
