FEELING DOWN? Find some inspiration!
Being a solopreneur has many benefits, but along with that comes the occasional “down time”. That happens when things appear to come to a standstill or even take a few steps back. As small business owners we all go through tough times that test our ability to rise above negativity and disappointment.
The ability to overcome this “feeling sorry for yourself” has to come from inside. In my opinion there is no outside magic solution that will solve everything. The following two quotations are a source of strength for me and I share them often in blogs.
The first is written by Dr. Heartsill Wilson:
“TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OFYOUR LIFE. This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it –or use it for good, but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it! When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, and not loss; good, and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it.”
The second is an excerpt from a prayer; unfortunately, I don’t know the author:
“Help me to remain in your strength, Lord. Teach me to look to your grace every morning as I start a new day. Thank you for offering me your grace to help me care for my family and accomplish the work you have given me. Your strength buoys me up when I am struggling and gives me the ability to press on when I feel weak.”
Having an open mind and a belief in yourself is a necessary requirement in order to reach the summit upon which sits your vision.
I hope that you will print this blog and post it so you can read it every day.
