GOOGLE YOURSELF!
If you are in business, chances are good that your future customers will google you. The internet provides the first step in determining whether a consumer is going to purchase your product or service. They will google not only your name but also your business. It’s important to know what is being said about you not only on google but across other social media sites.
Having a good online presence is important:
► It will open up new business opportunities
► It will tell your story the way you want it told
Consider the following facts:
► Over 1 billion names are Googled every day.
► 89% of people Google someone new they are about to meet and 25% of people have no positive content at all on first page of google results.
► 72% of the recruiters look for information online for present and prospective hires.
► 70% of employers have made a decision, NOT to hire someone based on information found online.
I personally search LinkedIn for information before I attend a meeting with someone new. After the meeting I extend an invitation to connect with that person on LinkedIn. The profile you post on LinkedIn should tell your story. Don’t just list your occupation or past employment. Talk about your WHY and your passion and your benefits.
