I DON’T WANT TO! – Give success a try!
I don’t want to work that hard, I just want the potential results.
When faced with the challenge of having to make a decision between where you are now and trying to make a positive change, the status quo often wins. Many small business owners feel that they are working hard enough, and the reason that they are not achieving their vision is due to outside factors.
Is it a fear of taking a risk by having to work harder, or is it a lack of belief that taking a new track may not deliver the desired results?
There is a word that I want to discuss and it’s EXCUSES. Let me start with a definition for the word that I once heard: Excuses are never the reason for why you did or didn’t do something. They’re just a revision of the facts that you make up in order to help yourself feel better about what happened (or didn’t). The main thing to know about an excuse is that it will never improve your situation.
In my opinion, excuses turn success into an option, and you did not want to exercise your success option.
Granted, sometimes an excuse may be necessary; but when it comes to taking a risk, or making a commitment to try something new, or having to work harder with no guarantee of success, those excuses fit the classic definition I mentioned above.
Every small business owner knows how important it is to have a vision for the business. Most of those visions never become a reality (currently small businesses have a failure rate of over 85%) because they underestimate the amount of action necessary to reach their vision.
It’s not just the hours one puts into a business, but the directed “action” that makes up those hours. It means stepping out of your comfort zone, taking a risk with time and or money; and if you strike out, then step up to the plate again.
I am inviting you, once again, to take a risk and spend two hours a week (between now and Christmas)to create a re-launch plan for your business. We will have a one hour zoom meeting every Tuesday at 7 pm and every Friday at 8 am. (Beginning Tuesday November 24th) This is my gift to you if you truly want to make 2021 your best year ever.
