Is CRM ready for video?
Your challenge is to always lead the field.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a strategy for managing an organization’s relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers.
There are many CRM options and I believe that every small business owner should have a defined CRM strategy. Study the current offering by the many vendors and select one.
My recommendation is that you add another component to your CRM strategy and that is the use of video.
Video can be added to almost any marketing media either as part of an existing platform or one that you design as a stand-alone, additional CRM outreach. Services such as Go to Meeting and Zoom are only a few of the options that can be used to produce and store CRM videos. The addition of video CRMs is not a major cost or time consuming option. It will take some getting used to creating the video; content and consistency are two key factors. Some of these providers offer free entry level subscriptions which will allow you to experiment while developing your own style.
A few important considerations:
- Don’t procrastinate! Make a commitment to start your video CRM in the next week. The objective is to start!
- Keep your videos to a maximum time of 3 minutes. 1 to 2 minutes will work.
- Topics are your discretion. As an example, you can share something new about your business or share about a new product/service that is available. Current news that may affect your target market is also a good topic.
- Don’t be afraid to start small. You can send a group e-mail with your video to gauge feedback.
- Many of your CRM videos can also be adapted to your existing social media marketing.
- Newsletters and blogs can also be presented via a video.
There are so many possibilities! The key is to start now and to lead your industry.
