IT SHOULD NEVER BE THE SAME
Lessons learned:
- Was your business prepared for the consequences of this virus?
- Were you financially prepared at home?
- Did you have the food, medicine and supplies needed to survive in quarantine?
- Are you able to focus on what you know you should be doing to grow your business in this environment?
- Have you created a “moving on” plan once this is over?
- What other emergency plans do you have in place?
- Are you creating a list of changes that you want to make for your family.
I believe that the business environment will not be the same as it was before the coronavirus epidemic. Every single person will carry a memory of this time and whether they admitted it or not, it will always be in the back of their minds as they return to a “new normal” life. Consequently, we also must change and take into consideration what new concerns (pains) that our customers have and make the necessary adjustments.
One possible tactic, when the virus is conquered, is to call your past and current customers and have them share their experiences and thoughts and how their lives have changed. Ask them how they feel and how their needs have changed and what they will be doing differently than they did in the past.
In keeping with the BizQuack “Giveworking” philosophy, continue reaching out to friends, family and customers and ask how they are doing and if they are in need of anything. Don’t forget your competitors, they are in the same position you are and a friendly phone call may be a positive difference-maker in their day; perhaps you can share a few ideas that they can implement.
I don’t have a magic mirror that will tell me when a vaccine will be available, but I do know that each of us must continue moving forward. Communications, even though not a human touch, are the key to helping others and ourselves.
Let’s stay connected. Would love to hear from you or hop on zoom for a chat.
