REVIEW YOUR WHY & HOW
WHY you do what you do is part of the foundation for growing a business. HOW you deliver (put your WHY into practice) is the rest of the equation.
Starts by going into your education section in BizQuack and reviewing the video by Simon Sinek. Next look at your Vision Based Business Plan and review your answer in the WHY section. Hopefully, your WHY has not changed considering the COVID-19, but it may need to be tweaked.
What will change is the HOW. The HOW is the part that must be adjusted to the New Normal, which may necessitate adjusting the following:
- Understanding of the new pains that your customers and prospects are experiencing.
- Communications with clients and prospects.
- How do they want to receive communications?
- What type of information will you include in:
- Newsletters
- Blogs
- Printed material
- How will your on-line presence change on:
- Your website
- Your landing pages
- Social media
- What are the expectations that your customers and prospects have?
Our individual businesses have changed and adapted to the COVID-19 environment. The use of platforms such as ZOOM have become the communications, networking, and education systems that we were forced to use. What role will they play in the new normal?
I believe that the changes have to go deeper than what I have listed. New internal operations must be developed; ongoing education is a must to stay abreast of such things as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. Budgets will have to be reworked to allow for new equipment, reserve accounts which few small business owners had, and cost of services and products may change which also will cause a domino effect on pricing.
Knowing that changes have to be made is the first step, the hard part is the planning, budgeting and plan implementation which has to be done immediately.
