TC: EXECUTION
“Execution separates the dreamers from the doers: it is the ability to do and get results – to keep moving forward to achieve your vision and goals in business and life despite the challenges, hardships, and obstacles that lie ahead.” From The Execution Factor by Kim Perell
As a small business owner you have a dream. My question and your challenge is to take an internal look at your dream and determine if your dream is stuck or are you able to translate your dream into strategies and action.
Write down your vision. Everything at Strategic Duck and BizQuack starts with a vision. Make sure that your vision is clear and that it is specific. Remember, we set goals to get us to our vision.
Next write down your WHY and your Passion. (Passion is what you are willing to sacrifice and suffer in order to reach your vision.)These two definitions create the energy you need to sustain you in your efforts.
Passion is a key word in this challenge. What are you willing to sacrifice? Being self-employed and reaching for a vision requires long hours and endurance. That means that determination and consistency are part of your daily effort. Nurturing a small business requires at least 10 times, if not more, work than originally planned for.
Action requires making something happen. Are you using your Accountability Tracker every day to take the small steps needed to reach your next goal?
Do you believe that you are in control of your life as you travel towards your vision? (This may require you to change the road you are traveling on because it caved in and a new path is necessary). In other words, can you see that you are gaining ground and not standing still?
Let’s finish the challenge: complete this exercise by answering all the questions and then e-mail it to me. I will do a live, on-line review to discuss your answers to this challenge.
As always, the ball is in your court. That is why your success depends upon your ability to execute what is needed. Send your challenge to nick@strategicduck.com
