TC: IN THE ZONE
As a small business owner I don’t believe that you can ever have an empty mind; it will always be focused on something. The question I have is, “What is your focus?”
If your mind is full of clutter, then your zone is not functioning to its maximum capacity. If the COVID pandemic or the political situation or any one of a hundred other distractions are whirling around in your mind, then your zone considers everything important and nothing useful is accomplished.
Giving your full attention to one thing that is top priority, something that you identified with your vision, will help you keep your focus without having other thoughts deter your attention from the topmost issue.
Your thoughts and focus today are going to have the biggest impact on your personal and business life. To come out a winner they must be channeled to the changes and opportunities that are happening at this unique time in our world environment.
There has to be a sense of urgency about you and about everything you do. You must redefine your vision and narrow its focus. The changes that have occurred and are occurring, since the pandemic must be understood, embraced and incorporated into your new vision.
Your challenge today is to pull out your vision statement, read it out loud and determine what updates have to be made to bring it into today’s reality.
Next, select the single most important thing you can focus on today and for the immediate future to achieve that vision.
Last, and perhaps the most difficult part, is to commit your time and effort to working every spare moment on completing that single item. You have to eliminate fear and embrace change with a touch of risk. Yes, share what you are doing with someone who cares and can help you with accountability.
