THERE IS MORE TO VALENTINE’S DAY!
February 14 has become the day that everyone shows their appreciation for one another. In grade school kids hand out a valentine to every other child in the room. Older boys and girls give a token of affection to their “heart throb”. Restaurants are filled, roses are sold, and a lot of jewelry is bought as married couples celebrate their life together. Valentine cards are sent to grandchildren and great grandchildren often with a few dollars inserted.
Love is in the air this very special day of the year and most of us do our very best to show our family and special people in our lives how important they are to us.
But wait a minute! Our businesses are living entities and the business also has to show its appreciation to those that support them and care for them. Our customers and clients deserve to be remembered and thanked for their support, in both the good times and bad times. (Yes, occasionally we all make a mistake, and we are grateful that our customers stayed with us during a difficult time).
Wait, there is more: valentines are also given to those that someone admires and whose heart they want to win. That sounds like the definition of a prospect!
Now what? If you have a data base of customers, prospects and referral sources, today is the day to send them a valentine card. Fortunately, if you use a system such as Mail Chimp or Constant Contact, you can easily create a special valentine card for each of your data bases and send it out in a very short time.
By reaching out to all your data bases, you are doing something that very few other businesses do. It’s not only an additional “touch” but a sincere appreciation for their support.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. You will be remembered because you care.
LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THEY ARE LOVED AND APPRECIATED!
