TOO MUCH PLANNING
While establishing a vision is an essential part of growing a business, spending hours and hours constantly reviewing and revising a business plan, is, in my opinion, a way of distracting ourselves from what we really need to address now. By looking only at “what could be” without spending the time to build the present foundation needed to reach the vision, is nothing more than an avoidance of reality.
I am an advocate working from a vision, breaking the vision into manageable steps, and then devoting the maximum time possible to doing things that will get you closer to the vision. There are always important and significant steps that, if accomplished, will move the business up the success ladder. The Accountability Tracker was designed to be used as tool to help you focus on what needs to be accomplished at this time.
As a Business Plan Nugget© (one of the many components of a business plan as defined by BizQuack) needs to be implemented, do the business/action plan for that nugget as it relates to your current situation. Don’t get bogged down in the old school business plan model which advocates a detailed, and mostly useless, business plan for every possible future scenario.
“We are in the age where anything is possible, brilliance is probable and innovation is certain” so focus today on the idea that will move closer to your vision.
BizQuack is in the process of developing more individual Business Plan Nuggets© which will outline the action steps necessary to develop and implement individual nuggets as you need them. They will be inserted in the education tab on your dashboard.
