TREAT YOURSELF

There are certain memories that each of us carry in our hearts. There are also times that we felt like we can conquer the world. My grandson decided it was time to ride a bike so he took-off, and I could tell by his action that he was feeling on top of the world.

Re-energizing ourselves to look at our businesses with the same excitement we had when it was first started is something that we have to recreate from time to time. That certain feeling that your business is going to be very successful, and you can conquer any obstacle, is a mindset that we must re-learn.

We are human, thus we will have our ups and downs and occasionally we have to step back and figure out what we need to do to regain that feeling of wanting to work 10 or 12 hours a day. To find that passion that drives us to greater business heights.

For me, this past two weeks rekindled my desire to see more people, tell them my story and thus grow my business. The secret ingredient that gave me this boost was making a few changes to my office. Paint, a smart TV and a new computer, and a few new pieces of furniture provided an updated and fun office space. Who could not be enthusiastic after all this?

Treating yourselves to something, that you believe can make a positive difference in your business life, may be the single best thing you can do to get your mind back on the right track. What are three things that if you had them at your disposal, could improve your business in marketing, efficiency or finance?

There may be a stretch factor involved in the acquisition process or perhaps some risk, but those two factors are what make a small business what it is. Without an investment of time or money, and without taking a chance, your business may become boxed in mediocracy.

What do you think is the single most important tool you can acquire that would have the biggest impact on the success of your business?
