A FRESH START

Hopefully you all paid attention to my Friday blog and took the weekend as a rest and relaxation period. Now it’s time to start re-imagine ourselves as small business owners. On April 1^st I addressed the issue of what, in my opinion, is going to take place in the world of business.

For the next few weeks I am going to concentrate on change, what it will be and when it will happen. We will look at opportunities that are there for us and how to determine if our current business model will still work a year from now.

Starting a new business will require new strategies as will the changing of directions in a current business. We will have to examine where we are now and what the balance of this year will bring. Planning will have to be for at least 1 to 2 years and then a best guess as to what the new normal will look like.

For existing businesses we will reset the clock back to January of this year when many of you completed the BizQuack Vision Based Business plan. With that as our prime building block we will examine what has changed and start working on strategic choices.

Because COVID-19 is having a major impact on our personal as well as business lives, we will look at both from a financial preparedness perspective.

There will not be one quick answer as to what direction a business should take in the future; the virus is still spreading and no one knows when it will stop. Nor do we know what the long term effects this will have on our lifestyle and its overall economic effects.

This series will eventually become a part of our educational offerings, but instead of receiving a complete version, you will journey with us as I and my team work on its development.

I believe that this will be one of the most important new additions to BizQuack and I encourage you read it every day.
