Communication with Customers
Current and past customers are the best prospects for more sales and referrals. The key is to not over “touch” them so that you become a nuisance. Yes, it is very important to maintain a presence and the following is what I call “soft touches”. Sending birthday and anniversary cards, sending (delivering) something of value, an invitation to a social event, introduction to a possible new customer, sending a copy of your favorite business book, inviting for lunch or coffee, and with permission, including them on your monthly newsletter distribution.
Once a process has established the implementation of a touch system is not time-consuming. Like everything else, the secret is consistency.
