Create A Personal Vision
THE PERSONAL VISION
In the world of business a vision statement creates a foundation upon which a business grows. In the world of small business a personal vision statement should be connected to the business vision, in fact they may even be the same.
Even if you have a Vision for your business, take part in this exercise today. This is not a project that will take hours. Focus on the question and get your ideas on paper. Should be about 10 to 15 minutes.
- With an open mind, let your imagination run wild! Write down what you want your business to look like in one, three, or five years. Select a time frame that works for you to set up your vision.
- Create a list of Vision ideas.
- Next, pick the Vision that is most appealing to you and create one sentence, or a maximum of two sentences, that clearly states the Vision for the future of your business.
This is your vision. Don’t ask anyone else to approve it. For the time being keep it to yourself. Use this Vision Statement to put in the Vision part of your Accountability Tracker every Tuesday morning. By doing this you will fulfill another important aspect of achieving your Vision and that is looking as it every day.
Every day take a look at the future of your business and visualize it as if it already happened.
A simple task such as this can open the doors in your mind to achieve whatever you envision.
