DO YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE?
Do you believe what you see or do you see what you believe? How do you see your business? This afternoon I participated in a meeting with a new start-up; the owner was there and 4 peer group members. The peer group saw the business just as it was; very little return on the investment of time and money and the lack of capital they felt was a deterrent to future growth.
The owner, on the other hand, was looking through a different set of glasses. He saw what he believed, a prosperous future potential with the sky being the limit.
When you look at your own business, what do you see?
Your business is on a journey towards your vision. (Hopefully all of you have completed the vision and goal tutorial found in the education tab on your BizQuack dashboard). It may be stuck in a rut or perhaps new marketing ideas are not coming your way. Whatever the case may be, what you have to see, every day, is a business that has the potential to reach its ultimate vision. Every difficulty is a stepping stone to a better tomorrow.
Running a small business is not an easy task; your belief in your vision has to be the guiding force that helps you persevere in the rough times every small business owner will have.
There is no “wrong business” if the desire to succeed is strong enough and the initial discovery session (who is your target market, where are they hiding, and what are the benefits you provide) produces a green light.
Your vision has to be the motivation that inspires you to see the future you want to create. Start each day by counting your blessings for the opportunity to work hard, knowing that the vision you see is within your grasp.
