DON’T MISS THESE TOOLS!
My last blog spoke about the need for speed and the importance of communications. The following 3 tools should be a serious consideration for every member.
Video Conferencing: Pictures are worth a thousand words and videos are even more important. At a breakfast this morning we discussed one such supplier, ZOOM. Take a look at www.zoom.com and explore the possibilities. They offer a free version which will provide a lot of functionality for your communications and marketing efforts. This is the product I selected to offer live, on-line meetings and educational sessions to our members. Please note that there are many other products on the market so do your due diligence before selecting.
Individual on-line appointments will be available certain days and times which will allow you to get help for individual business issues or to ask questions about a marketing concept or Tuesday challenge.
Calendly: (www.calendly.com) is a good time management and communications tool. It allows you to schedule meetings without the back and forth of e-mails or telephone tag. Calendly also offers a free version.
Interns: There are a lot of college students looking to obtain an internship where they can apply what they learned and also to get some “real business experience”. Many colleges and universities will help you reach a potential intern. Another source is on line; www.internships.com (this info was provided by one of our members, Dr. Goel). Yes, it pays to contact other BizQuack members and learn about their business and how you can help each other grow.
To stay competitive a small business owner has to know what support tools are available and how to take advantage of them. These 3 suggestions are only a small sample of the type of tools and support available for small businesses.
