FORM A NEW GROUP
Not a challenge but an opportunity for you to see if you can grow your own group following on LinkedIn.
Make it a group that relates to your business. Pick a compelling title and then fill in the boxes.
Don’t make it a “sales pitch” but a “help” group where the members can share their experiences on your subject.
It’s going to take some effort to create a successful group. The most important part is the “compelling” information you insert as to why the group exists and member expectations. Next, do the following:
✤ Share the benefits that your new group members will have with:
- Your friends
- Clients
- Prospects
✤ Post it on all your social media accounts
✤ Make sure that you post a short comment every day, especially at the early stages of your group growth.
✤ Acknowledge new posts
✤ Edit your group information if you feel it isn’t getting the traction you expected.
✤ Be consistent and patient.
This little marketing exercise only takes a few minutes a day to maintain and it is “all yours”. You know that the people that join have an interest in your topic and can be prospects for future sales efforts.
Growing a small business requires an ongoing effort in the area of marketing. This is another tool to add to your marketing tool box.
