LOOKING TO START A BUSINESS?
This morning a young man came to my office. He was leaving his current job after 8 years and wanted to do something on his own. The dilemma was he did not know in what direction to go. Working for a large company, his experience was limited by doing the same routine day after day for his entire 8 year stay. With his education coming from his military service and by saving for the past 8 years, he and his family can live a modest life allowing him to go to school full time.
Recently I wrote about what I think will be the biggest disruptive forces changing what we do, and how we do it. They were Artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, 3D Printers and virtual reality. I shared these thoughts with him and suggested that he at least look into these four areas and see if there was any interest.
My personal challenge is to see if I can learn enough about these disruptive forces so that I can adapt them to my own business model. As a consultant, educator and most important having a passion to help small businesses survive and achieve profitability (BizQuack), I want to offer the most innovative and most up to date systems to my clients.
My current search is for innovators, new businesses, in any of these areas that want to share their ideas and can also use some business foundation building support. I believe that each and every one of our businesses will be able to take a leadership position in our individual markets by become early adapters of these new technologies.
Our membership platform in BizQuack is designed to allow communications between members, to share new innovations such as these I mentioned or to ask for support and ideas with any business issue. You may have to do a personal outreach to another member and then open a line of communications with them and other members.
As I learn more about these issues I will look for some experts to share possibilities with you so you can also be a leader. Also remember, this is your community and by inviting a business friend to join and improve their business, everyone will grow from their experience and knowledge as will he from yours.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. Socrates
