ON A PERSONAL NOTE- My Support System
Today we celebrate a double anniversary; my daughter and her husband were married on our anniversary (many years apart). I am very grateful for the many blessings I have had and continue to receive in my life. One of the best is the support of my wife and family as I continue on the road to growing a small business.
The support and understanding of family is one of the secret ingredients that is needed to persevere through the ups and downs of small business growth.
Even on this special day I started my morning with a zoom gathering with my Business Resource Group. We discussed the COVID pandemic as well as the civil unrest in our nation and what we, as small business owners, have to do to prepare for an uncertain future. Yes, I was not able to have an anniversary breakfast with my forever bride.
Running errands and several client zoom meetings took up most of the rest of the day.
This evening my daughter and family will join Nanci and me for an Italian dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.
Reflecting on my family and their ongoing support I resolved that special days such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays will become “non-business days”, so I concentrate solely on my family.
Today is the best day to stop and thank your family for their understanding and support that they give you. Every day should be a special thank you day for all the people in our lives that support us in so many ways.
I am going to cut this short so I can spend the rest of this evening with my wife☺
