Technology has given us a great tool to use as we strive to get seen and be heard. A few tools include the use of blogs, web sites, e-newsletters, marketing videos, e-mail, podcasts and social media sites.
To succeed online, as well as print marketing, two things are critical: Content and consistency. If you don’t catch the viewers’ attention in the first 6 seconds, you will lose them. What you say and how you say it is what makes someone look at your material. Consistency requires a frequency of delivery that can be counted on. If you blog, you should blog at least once a week. Newsletters should be mailed out at least once a month and value-based information-bearing flyers and brochures should be distributed at least monthly.
Remember, just as in print, your branding has to be consistent and included in all marketing efforts.
