SOLOPRENEURS IN 2019
Solopreneurship has exploded in recent years; by definition that is an individual who works alone and runs the business single-handedly.
The following are a few thoughts on the subject:
➧ Personal Relationships are more important than technology. While artificial intelligence and virtual reality along with the new 5G network is stressed as the future of business, I see a small shift towards the human touch. The strength that a small business owner has is the ability to reach out and touch their target market; that is a position that larger corporations don’t have the time or structure to accomplish. Yes, technology is important but when it comes to getting new business in a hurry I believe that the “human touch approach” is the best way to go.
➧ Don’t limit your firm’s ability if you run out of time. The growth of people who are contracting as independent workers gives you access to great support without having to commit to a full time employee. The most common use of this part time support staff is in the fields of accounting and marketing
➧ Work on developing customer reviews. 97% of people say that customer reviews factor into their buying decision. Customer reviews are important both in your digital marketing effort as well as in your human touch marketing efforts.
➧ Consumers want to work with responsible businesses. I believe that there is a growing demand for business ethics and as a solopreneur you have an advantage by being able to represent your company in that light by “walking the talk”. Deliver more than you promise, faster than expected.
I believe that these are some of the important trends that will occur in 2019. By focusing on the trends that will be most meaningful to your target market you can focus your efforts to obtain more and better results.
