TC: BIG, BIG, BIGGER
Frequently I have asked you to write down your vision for your business with no restrictions on time or money. If you did your homework, your vision may have words like, the best, or the most sought after, or best known, or the most respected, or ??????????????
You may have written a vision statement, but can you describe in detail what that vision will look like when reached?
Your challenge today is to take your vision statement (it should already be framed and visible from your desk) and do the following:
ONE: Write a detailed, step by step procedure of what you have to do to accomplish your vision. Remember, no time limit or dollar limit. Include such things as staff, offices, equipment, marketing, advertising, funding needed for the different divisions, software, hardware,
♦ There is always a first step in this process; it may be as simple as hiring a sales and
marketing person or an internal operations person so you can do what you do best. It may
be someone to handle your bookkeeping or moving to a bigger space.
♦ Yes, there are always more steps to follow. Keep working on your vision steps, always
expanding each and every aspect required to run your successful business.
♦ The next step is to prioritize the first 5 steps and detail a plan on how you are going to make
them a reality.
TWO: There may be more steps coming and you will need to always add more as you reach each level. Each achieved step will help you determine the next one.
THREE: A vision has to be accompanied by a time frame. When do you plan on achieving your vision
FOUR: Since you must always have a solid vision of your goal in your mind, to finish this challenge describe what your business will look like when that vision is reached. Consider the branding you wish to achieve as well as the physical aspects of your firm. Where will it be located, how many offices will you have, how will you be perceived by your target market and your community? Let your imagination guide this part of the challenge for you.
Dreams are great and are in the minds of every person that has ever started a business. They have to be made real with processes and action steps. Action items have to be assigned and the Accountability Tracker has to be put to work.
Your vision and what it will look like are your two base points. This challenge is to help you visualize the in-between. At BizQuack we would be happy to meet to review your completed challenge and offer support, tools and ideas to make it a reality.
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
