TC: BE A GIVING BUSINESS

There are hundreds of needs in every community; from hunger, lack of shelter, loneliness, single parent families who can’t spend time with their children, etc. I am sure you can add to that list.
Your challenge today is to identify a need and find an organization that supports that need. The next step is to go to that organization and find out exactly what they do and how you can help. It may be a few hours a week and a small check from each sale.
This challenge is not meant to be an occasion to hand out business cards. It’s not even necessary to tell all your customers and friends of your involvement. Your participation will speak volumes and you will reap rewards both in personal satisfaction and recognition as a caring business owner and as a leader in your community.
The options are many and the needs are great. Perhaps you have a special place in your heart to help someone that is not currently being served; what a great opportunity to start a movement to help serve that need.
My definition of a servant leader is a business owner whose values go beyond personal needs and who reaches out, without fanfare, to help others.
Today’s Challenge, identify a need you want to help fill and find how you can best be of service. The important thing is to be persistent in this endeavor without expecting anything in return other than your self-satisfaction.
“No one has ever become poor from giving.” Maya Angelou
