TC: Survival of the Happiest
The cover story in the June issue of my Financial Advisor magazine was titled “Survival of the Happiest.”
As small business owners we have a responsibility to reach out to our clients, strategic alliances, friends and family and ask them how they feel. I am sure that most of us are following through on this “reach-out.” For me, Survival of the Happiest refers to us as business owners. If you are not happy and feeling good about yourself, the people you call, can tell, just by your voice, how you are doing.
Your challenge for this week is to write down your definition of happiness. What makes you happy?
Write down three (3) things about your business that would make you happy if they happen.
Under each of these three things, write down at least 3 action items you can take to help them become a reality. Yes, the next step is to implement those actions.
To complete the challenge, give up watching the news for an entire week or at least, limit yourself to no more than 30 minutes of local news.
As hard as it may seem, avoid talking to people that are unhappy with their situation and have no desire to improve it.
Happiness, like success, is a choice!
Please share your 3 action items.
