THANKSGIVING
Reach out to those who have supported you.
All of us have a lot to be thankful for. We must remember that many of the things we are thankful for were a result of another person touching our lives in some way.
As small business owners, saying thanks to the people who have touched your business in some way or another should be a prime goal for you before Thanksgiving.
- May I suggest the following?
- Send a snail mail card
- Hand address the envelope
- Personalize the inside
Remember, this is not a business or referral request, but a sincere thank you
Most of your VIP contacts will receive Christmas Cards, but very few of them will receive a Thanksgiving card.
I want to help you create your VIP list so consider the following:
- Good current customers
- Past customers who have played an important role in your business growth
- Friends and family who are helping you
- Service suppliers
- Your support team (CPA, Attorney, peer group, mentor, etc.)
If you send out, for example, 200 cards, your total investment will be less than $1.50 per card including postage. I can’t think of anything that will make a bigger impact.
Important: Please spend time personalizing each card; say something that will be recognized by the recipient.
