Trying Times are no time to quit trying. Perseverance is a necessary trait during down times when we are so tempted to give up. Businessman H. Ross Perot said: “A lesson I’ve learned from the lives of great inventors….the most successful people in the world aren’t the brightest. They are the ones who persevere.”
The line between failure and success is so fine that we scarcely know when we pass it; so fine that we are often on the line and do not know it.
In business, prospects may seem darkest when really they are about to turn. A little more perseverance, a little more effort, and what seemed a hopeless failure may turn into a glorious success. There is no failure except in no longer trying.
2021 will be a profitable and successful year if believe that it can happen and we do what we know we should do to make our vision a reality.
We have survived the pandemic and learned a lot about the changes that had to be made. Now is the time to take all the lessons we learned and apply them to next year. We have to stop hoping that things will get back to the “old normal,” and lead change into the “new normal.”
Things will settle down in a new way and we can now persevere in our businesses by adopting new ways of marketing and establishing customer relations.
This is a great time to lead change and not have to follow it. Our great nation depends upon the success of small businesses to get us back on the track that our founders laid out for us.
