VALUABLE LESSON FROM THIS UNIQUE CHEF
I had dinner with my daughter and her family this week. My grandson invited me to watch a video on Netflix which his art teacher had assigned as homework. (Chef’s Table, episode 1 of season 2)
Yes, I am asking you to watch this entire show before you see my comments on it. In my opinion, it conveys a very timely message for our current environment.
Now that you watched it the following are the lessons contained in this video that impacted me:
- You don’t have to be traditional in your business in order to be successful.
- You have to follow your dream (passion)
- Do not be deterred by obstacles, have faith and be persistent.
- Lowering your price is not the best way to compete.
- Re-invent yourself on a daily basis.
- When you are at the top of your business game, it’s time to take a break and create a new version of yourself and business.
Does this system work? If you go online, you will find that he is sold out every day for the rest of the year. His price is $385/person including tip and has to be prepaid at the time the reservation is made.
Part of growing a small business is taking the time to see what other small business owners are doing in other fields and to learn from their mistakes and successes.
This video contained one of the best business lessons that I have seen in the past few years. I will make some changes in my daily routine and certainly will look at re-inventing myself for next year.
