BEYOND DIGITAL MARKETING
Small businesses are in a unique position to capture the attention of existing and new customers utilizing traditional methods. Yes it’s great to be seen in the digital world, however, it’s not always easy to be found unless you invest quite a lot of time and money.
Large corporations rely on huge marketing campaigns that don’t always provide the personal touch needed to bring in customers and sustain that existing foundation of repeat customers.
Here are some traditional marketing ideas that shouldn’t be overlooked.
Grab Coffee: Invite someone to coffee and share your story.
Host breakfast: Bring your clients together for a continental breakfast while providing some information. Ask them to bring a friend to find out about your business.
Partner with other businesses: Grab nearby businesses or one business that you share a target market with and host an event or develop a combined marketing campaign. You’ll each get the benefit of the others contact database.
Set up a booth: Find an event that will allow you to share information about your business to potential customers. This is also a great opportunity to find out what consumers are looking for and what pains and gains they are experiencing allowing you to tweak your marketing materials to target these issues.
Donate your time: While volunteering should be solely to help others expecting nothing in return, there are some potential business benefits. Adopt a charity and get your team together for some volunteer time, wear your company gear, and post some pictures on social media and your website and ask your customers, friends, and visitors to also support the organization.
Traditional marketing is finding that connection by building unique relationships with people or businesses. Remember that it may take 7 to 10 touches to make the impact your looking for so combine face time with digital marketing and make some great things happen.
