Black Friday Options
I hope that your Thanksgiving was a Blessed day and that you shared with your family and friends all the things for which you are thankful. Perhaps you watched some football and even ate a little more than you should have, but all in all it was a good day.
Now comes Black Friday, a day designed by stores, both online and bricks and mortar, during which you are encouraged to spend as much money as you can. Their marketing gurus have created a sense of urgency; some stores opened at 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day and will not close until Sunday night. Even with all their “discounts”, there is a lot of profit in all the items they sell.
In a sense, Black Friday has almost become a National Holiday which unfortunately, overshadows the real meaning of Thanksgiving.
There always is a lesson in everything that happens. The term Black Friday is associated with great values. I suggested that you spend some time today coming up with your own Black Friday offer for your data base, your customers and prospects. How can you create a package of products and or services that offer that extra something?
You have identified your target market and you do have a list of current and past customers. Take a look at your value proposition and add something extra, a wow or an experience or additional services. Now reach out with a title such as “Black Friday Specials at (name your business)”. Now you can talk about these values as something that you will offer all of next year or you can put an expiration date on your offer.
This exercise will help you start your planning journey, the action items you are going to work on to make 2020 your bests year ever.
