FINDING INNER REMARK-ABILITY
Inner remark-ability is all about finding something about your product, service, or firm to make it stand out. Differentiation is not the same thing; your product or service may be different, but unless you can create a “buzz” that creates a lasting memory, you may have a difficult time getting your message out.
Now go back and take a look at your marketing plan. Is it something that will leave a permanent impression for those who see it? Does it create a must-share scenario?
The important part of this process is the start. Everything begins with people. It’s people who start and spread “buzz”.
That means that everything you say or do has to be geared towards the creation of the “BUZZ”. Take a look at all your marketing material, including printed material as well as your web site and social media messages. Do they all create a “shareable moment”?
To achieve the “buzz” results doesn’t mean that a larger marketing budget is necessary, however, it may require having an “aggressive and determined spirit”. Put on your thinking cap and look for ideas in unexpected places. What makes something interesting, surprising or novel?
While being very short, this blog may be the key to taking your business to the next level. This process is not going to be developed and implemented in an hour or two. It becomes a mantra for your entire marketing program and should continuously be reviewed and tweaked to keep the BUZZ growing.
