INTIMIDATION
Yes, you have a right to be upset with the “goings on” in our Nation. It appears that the old saying is true; “When it rains, it pours.”
There are those that do not want us to succeed with our businesses; they are anti-business and anti-most everything else. While most Americans are good, hard working and honest people, there exists a few that their only concern is themselves. They hide behind a terrible injustice by a police officer and claim that they are protected by the first amendment as they pretend to care. I do not consider burning buildings, and looting businesses as a protest.
I have a lot of questions as to the lack of protection against these atrocities; why can people loot at will and not get arrested? How can they set fire to a historic church across from our White House and not get arrested?
I believe that these orchestrated happenings (such as the one at Fashion Square in Scottsdale Saturday night where 500 people showed up) have as their main purpose, to intimidate us. Many of the major shopping centers in the metro Phoenix area were shut down today. Some of the stores just opened and now they are shutting down. Fear feeds rumors and they spread into residential neighborhoods and places of worship as neighbors talked about protecting themselves.
The politicians must start working together for “the greater good” of our nation; we must hold them accountable.
For us, we still have to stay safe and add this new threat to the COVID-19 issues and all the rest of the obstacles that are associated with growing a business. At the same time, we must be open for business and be spreading a positive attitude to our customers and prospects.
As small business owners we are the front-line warriors in our communities. Our job is helping others and to demonstrate that our business community is growing.
I will be working today and supporting our BizQuack members in whatever way I can.
