IT’S OVER! Or is it?

It’s 10:30 at night on election night as I am writing this blog. No decision has been reached on the presidential race. We may not know who the winner is for a day or maybe many more.

TV, radio, mail and the digital media have been bombarding all of us with their propaganda. Yes, all of them have made a lot of money as the political machines threw millions of dollars into all the races.

Politics have dominated the conversation and in some cases they have overshadowed the small business owners’ marketing voice. Hopefully with a decision in hand in the next few days (and we hope it’s the right one) we have to let go of the remaining fears such as the Covid-19, the economy and the potential unrest.

As hard as it may seem, small business owners need to maintain a positive and action-based attitude. With the political fervor complete, the worst thing we can do is to substitute another distraction in its place.

Success for the rest of this year and next will require a lot more work than ever before; but the benefits can be even greater than we imagined.

I believe that the opportunities that lie ahead for small businesses are immense. Success is a choice, and the few that make that choice and work for it will reap great benefits.
