LET’S SPREAD JOY!
In keeping with our motto (those of you that are in the BizQuack Success 2020 program), this week we will concentrate on our tag line “Be Joyful”. This past week I have reached out to many and found a very somber mood prevailing among many friends and small business owners.
Yes, there is a major crisis in the world, and the media, some worse than others, is showering us with both negative and in some cases, doomsday type information, 24/7. The stress that is caused also weakens our immune systems, thus compounding an already bad situation. The following is a good definition of Joy and how it differs from Happiness:
“Joy is different than happiness. Happiness is something that measures how good we feel over time. But joy is about feeling good right now, in the moment.”
You can’t give away something that you don’t have. To be Joyful you have to be in sync spiritually, physically and mentally. Think thoughts that make you feel good and put a smile on your face before you reach out to others. Remember, joy is something one can experience in an instant, for example, playing with a puppy is a source of joy for most of us. This afternoon Nanci and I picked all our tangerines, put several dozen in each bag and hung them on our neighbors’ doors.
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote: “Since you get more JOY out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.”
Using this blog as a base, together let’s think about ways we can spread JOY to our contacts. Please send me your ideas during the day, and I will incorporate them in my blogs this week.
Be Joyful and together let’s change the world☺
