UPDATE YOUR ONLINE MARKETING
The internet has made on-line marketing an inexpensive process, but one that is essential for small business owners.
Your challenge for today is to see how you stack up in the following on-line marketing options.
- Communications with your data base: This list contains both the contacts that know who you are and will support your business efforts as well as those that have agreed to receive your e-newsletter. Communications to this group should go out at least once a month and your goal is to add at least 8 new names each month.
- Blog: Blogging has become an important part of an on-line marketing campaign. Recommend a weekly blog. It doesn’t have to be very long as long as it is pertinent to your industry and applicable to your target market.
- Social media: Perhaps we should change the name to “Business media”. There are many different outlets; the ones that we feel can provide the best results are:
✦ LinkedIn
✦ Facebook
✦ Twitter
✦ Alignable
There are many more social media outlets. Please select at least three to participate in.
Now comes the challenge: spend 30 minutes per day and post something of value in each of your selected outlet. This may present a higher level of difficulty, both for the discipline to do it and also to create the necessary content. The content can be the same for all your outlets. Like anything else, once a habit is established your posting will become easier.
Please add me to your data base so I can receive your e-newsletter. (nick@strategicduck.com)
