2021 will still remain a stressful year for many business owners; the pandemic will not disappear. In fact, I just received a text that Arizona led the nation today in the number of new COVID cases. Even with a vaccine, it will take the better part of 2021 to distribute it and many may not be willing to be vaccinated.
Masks and social distancing will remain part of our lives as will virtual communications. The pandemic has touched all of us both physically and mentally. I believe that more small business owners will become despondent and “give up” trying.
I am very optimistic about 2021 and the future of small business; however, we may have to change our approach in how we reach out to our clients and prospects.
I see 2021 as being the “Help First – Sell Later” year. Our individual business success will come easier if we help others, our customers and prospects, overcome their difficulties before we present our products and services.
Let’s make this a year of “Unconditional Giving”; that means giving without expecting anything in return. Yes, some will take what you offer and not even say Thank You while others will remember your kindness and pay you back when you least expect it.
YOUR CHALLENGE FOR TODAY: Adopt this “Help First – Sell Later” mentality. Today is a great day to take the first step in this direction. Take a look at your current marketing channels; does your message convey an offer of unconditional help? How can you change your content to convey this new message? This new message has to come from the heart, not as a sales gimmick.
Who can you call today and ask how they are doing and how you can help them reach their 2021 goals? Yes, they may be suspicious at first, but as in any other endeavor, persistence pays off.
BizQuack is here to help! Like any other gift, it has to be accepted and we ask that you accept our offer and take full advantage of all of the tools. Call, text , or e-mail us, we are looking forward to hearing from you.
