Many people base their “buy or not buy” decision on the testimonials of others.
This past 10 days I have asked seven small business owners to send me testimonials they had received and not one had any to share.
You don’t have to wait until a prospect asks you for testimonials from other customers; you should include them with your proposal.
Always ask permission to use the testimonial in your marketing. If possible ask permission to include the name and contact information of the person writing the testimonial.
Yes, you benefit from positive testimonials, but so do the people that give them. Their name and company may appear on your website, brochures and other marketing material which gives them exposure.
Your challenge this week is to get at least three testimonials and to give at least three testimonials to others.
